anyone having problem with the apps? whenever i restarted the phone, some apps that being stored in the internal storage went missing, the shortcut showing blank grey folder. when i pressed the icon it keep saying application not found. and when i restart the phone again, sometimes it comes back but then other application will be missing.
I ve noticed the same thing once today.I recently installed .75 and that bug happened after a few days with the new firmware. What is your firmware version?
@ME092: good to know that it happened to other people as well, hope they'll fix it in ICS update. @ArisD1978: mine is .73 vodafone australia version i guess. I have checked in sonymobile forum, apparently same thing happened to a lot of xperia s user, so i suppose you should've had the problem since .73 as well
Known issue. Something to do with the default launcher, I guess. Simple solution is, not to move the application to the storage. You have 2 GB of internal memory, which is more than enough, I guess.
@LiveSquare: I thought so, the thing is, there's no point in having 32GB storage if at the end we have to store all of the apps in the internal memory.. I hope Sony acknowledge the issue and going to fix it in ICS release
The 32 GB is for storing your stuff, not the specifically for "Apps". If you say this with 2011 series phones, then I would agree as the internal memory is so low that you can really store much there.
@LiveSquare: yes you are right, it is not specifically for the apps, it's just my preference but.. to keep the internal memory free quite a bit. so i can at least save the apps that can't be moved to internal storage in there. i can only hope they'll fix the problem then
Agree to you in saving for unmovable, but come-on, it has 2GB and you won't fill it up that fast!! Moreover, storing in internal memory should be faster.
@LiveSquare: yes i know, it's just me mate, it's just the way i like it don't worry, i love sony and xperia too much.. i can wait til they fix it, or probably get myself GX later on, haha
Yea, it was annoying me too as I came from Arc, which had limited memory. I hope they will fix it in the ICS as the launcher is overhauled a lot.
@LiveSquare: I came from Arc & Arc S too, big fan of Sony myself. oh well, we'll just see & wait then
