Hello, I am having a problem with my Xperia S, sometimes I am not able to pickup a Wi-Fi signal that another phone of my is picking up, I do not know if the problem is that the phone cannot pickup all Wi-Fi Channels. Last time I repaired the phone with Sony only to get it working by unplugging and plugging the router. Today it happened again but this time unplugging didn't solve the problem, did anybody get this problem and came up with a solution? Thanks in advance. Best Regards UPDATE: Updated to ICS and this issue was fixed...
same with me..since my phone is updated to ICS, i can't connect to wifi unlike when i'm using GB with buil.75, very fast connection, can anyone help to solve this problem?
If you guys have flashed some other region's firmware, make sure those regions support all the WiFi channels that are available in your country. If not set the wireless router to use specific channel and try to see if you could get connected.
yes there are the wifi problem, this problem after updating the rom I have tried many oluştu.3 all the same!
After update to ICS, I'm not able to connect to the internet, although WLAN connection seems to be stable. It works fine after switching off/on again and again. There were no problems with GB before and I have not changed any settings in the phone and Router.
Until now I've thought that APN concerns only to mobile data connection and not for WLAN. Can you explain me more?
Yep. APN are for mobile data. Are you having problem with WiFi or mobile data? I figure from your post that your WiFi works and not the mobile data. Am I wrong?
No, I've problems with my WiFi connection, but meanwhile I've noticed that it has something to do with my router. Very often I'm not able to connect to the internet, altough WLAN is enabled. But I've always access on the webinterface of my router. I expect there is a problem with the DNS setting. Before ICS, WLAN worked fine, but I dont know if issue depends on this update.
Did you officially update for your region? Try repairing the firmware (remember to backup as it will wipe everything).
It's very strange. Since I've installed a second, different Test-WLAN profile (@work), my first WLAN (@home) works fine. Don't know what happend?????
