The Sony Honami is not even due to be announced until 4 September 2013 at IFA in Berlin, however the first firmware for the device has already been certified by the PTCRB. Firmware build 14.1.G.1.493 has been certified for the Asian/European LTE version (C6903) as well as the North American LTE version (C6906). We don’t think we’ve ever seen a device see its firmware certified before it’s even been announced. Could this mean an imminent rollout of Honami soon after its announcement on 4 September?
