The Sony Mobile Store has opened up pre-orders of the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact across Europe today. We were already aware of pricing – £699/€799 for the Xperia XZ2 and £529/€599 for the Xperia XZ2 Compact –but with Sony’s official pre-orders opening, it has also outlined what goodies it is giving as part of the pre-order promotion. The promotion available varies across countries – those in Germany get the best deal in our view, and are able to pick one of five Sony items, choosing from devices including a PSVR, wireless headphones and Google Assistant wireless speakers. Some regions like Italy and Norway will get some noise-cancelling headphones. There are a number of regions that get a free wireless charger and a case, including Poland, Portugal, Spain and the UK. This is by the far the worst deal out of the lot, particularly considering that any Qi-based wireless charger will work for the Xperia XZ2, which can be picked up cheaply. For those in the UK, it is worth noting that if you pre-order the Xperia XZ2 from Carphone Warehouse, then you can choose a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation VR for free. These pre-order offers are available until 5 April 2018 (or until stocks last), with the devices expected to ship from 6 April 2018.
