I was given an Xperia play which I was told is "broken". I am trying to fix it. If I plug it into my computer with the USB cable, it says it's charging the battery. If I switch it on, it plays a demo repeatedly. How do I get it to do something? Has someone put it into some sort of demo mode? The computer says it's an unrecognised USB device. I downloaded the Sony software and tried to update it, but it says "PC Companion was unable to connect to the phone".
