i had a Xperia S that is a Prototype! i went to a local store and they told me that it cant be unlock yet becouse is a prototype! what do you guys think about that?
Sometimes there are handsets that creep onto ebay etc that were running prototype hardware - very often these cannot be flashed with the latest ROMs. Where did you get the handset from?
i buy it in a web like ebay but for my country and i had unlocked the bootloader and update the firmware to 6.0.A.3.73 but its about the network, it cant be network unlock
I am not sure why you got such a response in the local store...infact,prototype has nothing to do with the unlocking.It is just a built in feature of the mobile.You can get your Sony Xperia S unlocked using the unlock code from Unlocking4u.com where they also provide unlock instructions to help you in the unlocking process.
