Hi, i got my new Z1 compact and i absolutely love the size, FINALY=) But why havent they not fixed the camera firmware yet? my friend owns the Z1 and it had alot of noise and artifacts in the pictures both the 20mp and auto mode. Now its android 4.3 and still not fixed, the same goes for my new z1 compact, when i was buying this phone it was becuse the camera was praised and with alot bigger sensor etc yeah it is, but its the software who ruins it. my old phone is an iphone 4s and that one almost takes better pictures. Do anyone have a clue if that software/firmware will be fixed in 4.4 or something?? or do you guys use a diffrent camera app?? if so wich one, and what settings to tweak it?? thanks
both good and bad=) 80% its the same quality atleast for my eyes, also seen them on my imac screen in comparison. 20% it crushes the 4s in quality. my biggest issue with the 20Mp camera is ALOT of noise and artifacts at once u start to zoom in after you have taken the picture. And that sould not appear, when the z1/z1compact delivers the same camera sensor as their still cams do+2.0F aperture they had a minor FW upgrade in november or something whop helped abit but its still not good, compared to other top models. example: if u take picture of an building with some text on who is some meters away, u can see the text clearly on the iphone, but on the z1 compact its hard to tell what the letters are. i have also tryed some diffrent camera apps on play store but with no help. Hoping for an BIG FW update from sony tough, im a big fan of their products.
Camera is good for taking still pictures in good light. Scattered sun light is best I tried. But a lot of noise in low light condition! Evn the flash is very bad. My sony ericsson xperia arc LT15i takes a better pic with 8MP than this 20MP camera!!
and moreover, I donno y sony is ignoring this camera issue . But for advertisement purpose, they use to highlight the camera the most! see the ans of the guy from sony? he's just trying to avoid the case? My question to you people, sony, aren't you getting the same issues what we are facing? then why u r trying to ignore it off? Please reply
