I have a Sony Xperia Z2, working on AT&T but it is not displaying the LTE Icon in the status bar.... On the Mobile Network settings, it only gives the option to choose 4G/WCDMA/GSM.... My friend has a Z2 also and his displays the LTE Icon......my xperia z2 is running the 4.4.2 update I have heard that is is the update that removed the LTE Icon even though the phone is utilizing LTE speeds
4G is the same as LTE depends on software "branding" if your phone as a European software then it will show 4G. like the 3G in some country's will show 3.5 or 3G+ or H. Other important thing if your phone commes from aboard you could have a no 4G/LTE version or the radio frequencies for ATT. D6502 (this one as no 4G/LTE radios), D6503 (mean for european/international version), D6543 (mean for American territory) 2G NetworkGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - D6502, D6503, D6543 3G NetworkHSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - D6502, D6503, D6543 4G NetworkLTE 700/800/850/900/1700/1800/1900/2100/2600 - D6503 LTE 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 - D6543 Hope it helped
I've never seen 4g on my phone, and it is LTE version, and not only this one, but the last one too... In my country, but in Italy too, I saw only H+
This is interesting question... I don't know... I thought it was obvious... Isn't it? Do I have to ask to my mobile operator for 4G?
