Hi, I recently bought a XZ2 off ebay to replace my XA1 which i liked but i need something that can wirelessly charge as i destroy charging ports on every phone i own! The phone was advertised as unlocked, it works perfectly other than the network. Even though it's recognising my sim card (giffgaff/O2) and lets me make calls and sms, it doesn't let me use mobile data and still displays Virgin as the mobile network. When i go in to settings the mobile network is listed as Virgin if i go into choose network, O2 is listed as my home network? Its been suggested to me that some phone sold by Virgin could still identfy as Virgin even if they are unlocked or is this phone still locked to Virgin? I've tried doing a factory reset, no change. i've asked for advice on the giffgaff forum and been sent various articles about checking coverage and someone suggested manually deleting existing settings and stored networks but i can't see how you do that on this phone? Can anyone advise?
