Xperia acro HDNTT DoCoMo has confirmed that the Xperia acro HD (SO-03D) will launch nationwide on the 15 March 2012, pre-orders will start from on 2 March . From what we can tell from the translation, online pre-orders will not be available, so you’ll have to into a NTT DoCoMo store if you’re interested. The handset will cost around the 30,000 Yen mark (c$370) with a two year contract.

There is no word of when KDDI will launch the CDMA version of the Xperia acro HD, although it can’t be too far behind. Previously, KDDI also talked of a mid-March launch. The acro HD includes a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch HD resolution display (720 x 1280 pixels), 12.1MP Exmor R camera sensor, 16GB of internal storage (plus microSD support), 1840mAh battery and HDMI. It also has Japanese specific features such as infrared port, NFC mobile wallet and TV tuner. This handset will also be waterproof to depths of 1m.

    Where is the Pepper???

  • Is it just me or is this better than Xperia S, but with a cheaper pricetag and a lot more to offer? -.-

It’s significantly more expensive than the Xperia NX (S), due to the Japanese market features.

Agree o.O the S may look nicer but this beats it with features, even simple ones like MicroSD. I dont care about waterproof but the bigger battery is nice.

Seems like they are takin the Nokia way, have a bunch of different products and each one has something u desire instead of one phone with everything.

    GFYS Sony!
