Sony Mobile has formally unveiled a new Sony Xperia handset – the Xperia neo L (MT25i). For those thinking this may be successor to the Xperia neo then you’ll need to think again. The Xperia neo L carries 2011 hardware including a 1GHz single-core Snapdragon MSM8255 processor with Adreno 205 graphics and 512MB RAM. It will have a 4-inch (480 x 854) display, 5MP camera capable of 720p video recording, VGA front facing camera and run Android 4.0 ICS.
In terms of design the Xperia neo L looks uncannily similar to the Xperia PLAY minus the joypad. It has the same four hardware buttons of the Xperia PLAY, but they are a darker colour (almost black). The dimensions (120.0 x 61.0 x 12.8 mm) are also nearly the same apart from the 3mm thinner chassis. The Xperia neo L is destined for the Chinese market for now, although pricing remains an unknown.
