First Xperia GX sample photo pics

wish I could see the GX stacked side-to-side with arc, just to see the size difference.

They are noticeably less noisy than shots from the Xperia S would be and are a bit more detailed. If the GX really uses the rumoured RGBW-sensor then it really works. I’m impressed!

What would be a good way to try taking photos on these devices and then getting those images off the device without opening the devices and without signing into google services?

Poor quality. Entire image is a soup of crazy pixels. Xperia P has the best camera from entire sony lines. 13 MP are uselles on xperia gx. ANother fail in camera department after xperia arc and s

Why do U think that exactly Xperia P is the best?

You can make out some details in the dark areas which is good but it’s still too early to judge. The phone might not have been running final software and you really need a comparison photo from another phone.

Still there is more noise than I would like to see when looking at these photos zoomed all the way in, and this is a common criticism that is made of cameras on Sony/SE handsets. When will Sony give the user control over the level of compression applied? I think if Sony did that (starting with the GX and ICS when it makes it way onto the S) that they would unleash the full potential of the camera phone sensors and blow their competitors out of the water. A good/fantastic camera is a major selling point.

Thank you for taking the photos, they look nice, with the Galaxy S3 out in 2 weeks, I hope Sony announce the release date for Europe soon or they will loose loads of potential customers.

The photos are look good though.  I would love this phone.

Is it me or does this look like an arc in a blue case?

Well, the phone releases in July, so it’s very possible that it IS using that sensor…

I think the pics look pretty good. A lot better than my Nexus pics. The flash wasnt on and the room isnt that well lit.

So this phone is coming to North America, right?  Right?  Right?!
