Can anyone at Xperia Blog confirm which device either the Yuga/Odin will make its way to the UK hope it’s the Odin as its rumored to be smaller in dimensions but same spec

The clue is the last number in the model numbers. These numbers determine which region the handset will be launched in. For example, if the C6603 Yuga and C6503 Odin do end up hitting retail, then these models will launch in Europe.

Thanks for clearing that up wonder if the UK will see both Yuga and Odin eventually would seem strange having identical handsets bar a couple of features i.e. Dust and waterproof for the Yuga and an IR blaster for the Odin I work for o2 in the UK and word of the Yuga and Odin has spread around and a few customers have already declared an interest even though the handsets haven’t even officially been announced if Sony gets these handsets to market asap they will be onto a winner here for sure

I want an Xperia S 2… I like my Xperia S, the size and screen is perfect. It could use some improvements over camera, CPU speed, weight, back material (it’s sort of slippery holding on hand), battery life, and the infamous capacitive buttons is a must-improve. Otherwise I like this phone fine. I really don’t like those huge screen phones. It’s like holding a brick and it looks stupid in my opinion.

What about the Xperia. Dogo C550x. It is similar. To the yuga. With water and dust resistance and is 4.65 inches with a 12 megapixel camera with 360ppi, 1.5 GB. Of ram and a snapdragon. S4 pro quad-core. With a clocked speed of 1.5ghz. And a front facing camera with 2 megapixels. With hd 720p! I just hope Sony announceS. The dogo soon! And Android jelly bean 4.1.2. can’t. Wait this is Xperia 4 according. To rumours. By the way but a lot of news about this phone in China. As well.!

2. Whitemagic technology for brighter screen
3. Opticontrast for better contrast
4. Mobile bravia engine 2 for better contrast
And ofcourse th transparent step on the nxt line is nice, exmor rs sensor, full hd, quad core, massive battery, thin design, and of course android jellybean

Exactly the opposite for me. It’s one of the best Custom UIs in terms of looks, but it lags just too often. I really hope Jelly Bean will fix this

Will this one too be coming with a tft lcd panel. Isn’t it about time Sony moved on from that to ips panels. No one expects the ips 3 on the butterfly but at least a first gen ips display should be a minimum requirement. Poor viewing angles in this day and age seriously diminishes the overall perception of the display quality.

But I, and probably (many) more think the new one’s better even though it still lags when you swipe to a homescreen with a couple of widgets.

Sorry but it matters. Trying to use the phone while it’s on a table like I do at work leaves a very sour taste. It just leaves the impression that the display is of poor quality.
Reviewers are right to talk about viewing angles. In this day and age poor viewing angles should be a thing of the past especially at the high end of the scale.
Sony just keep using good old cheap tft. It just doesn’t make sense because Sony smartphones could easily be known for having the best displays but the poor viewing angles let them down giving that crown to HTC.
That’s sony’s problem they are not known anymore for being the best at anything. Please don’t say design because that’s subjective.
It’s about time we saw an IPS panel on Sony phones. TFT should be confined to low and budget end devices.
