Xperia T Jelly Bean firmware incoming; firmware version 9.1.A.0.489 certified

Sony Xperia T and Xperia TX owners start rejoicing, it looks like the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update will be arriving in a few weeks. The PTCRB website has just certified firmware version 9.1.A.0.489 (which is Jelly Bean) for the Xperia T (LT30p) and Xperia TX (LT29i).

The Xperia TL (LT30at), AT&T’s version of the Xperia T, has also seen a new firmware version certified (9.1.F.1.120) which we understand is also Jelly Bean firmware. It is only the North American version on the Xperia T (LT30a) that misses out of the action. It doesn’t mean an update isn’t planned, often the website lists firmware retrospectively. As a rule of thumb, give it a couple of weeks before the firmware lands, so Xperia T owners can start to look forward to JB from the middle of Feb.

and like i said before Xperia T Launch: Xperia T WILL get the same Software Features like the V… that is the reason why T now gets build number 9.x now instead of 7.x before…. Xperia V Started with 9.0 what means stuff like Clear Audio+, Bravia V2 and so on is included
Xperia S should Switch from 6.1 (ICS) to 7.x or also to 9.x because they will add all the Features of Xperia T

i really hope Clear Audio+, Bravia V2are on it. 4.1.2 will finally make T like a worthwhile phone. although i wouldn’t know why anyone would buy a T – now that there are a slew of great looking phones coming in the next few months!

Finally!! A bit late but I since I recently decided to get rid of those awful iPhones, I couldn’t see myself using a dreadful LG or Samsung…the HTC was nice but the Xperia T (at the time, 2 mnths ago) made by far the most sense due to it’s design, tech, and the fact that almost all of my household electronics are Sony. Now let’s hope they learned they’re lesson, hired really tech-savvy people at their SonyMobile division and they’ll surprise us nicely by making us wait very little for the JellyBean 4.2 update!

clear Audio is not as good as i expected… i have it on a T/V ported Rom on my Xperia S and i don’t like the Sound… i think it is only really effective with Sony Headphones but with my Nokia Monster it sounds horrible for me

Same here! While some don’t see Sony’s dedication to providing support to its Xperia users, I on the other hand have experienced it through my Sony X10.

the Monsters are AWESOME if you like loud and clear bass… got it last year as a present from Nokia at Press Conference at Mobile World Congress. A Little bit low at middle frequencies but you can compense that with an equalizer

Sorry but the Xperia t & v are both 2012 devices and they’ve got absolutely no hope of getting 4.2.
4.2 isn’t part of Sony’s plans for 2012. If it was, there wouldn’t have been a 4.1 update.
