in Videos, Xperia Z and Xperia ZL

It is somewhat mesmerising watching the Sony Xperia Z being doused in ink in super slow motion. This is what we have in the promo video below from Sony Mobile France. There are two other videos in this series of ‘Xperimentations’ promotional videos highlighting the Xperia Z’s water and dust resistance. Check all three out below.

It could be ink for a printer…sometimes that ink is mixed with water to be cheaper

    Will I have Angelique’s number preinstalled? :)

  • paul_cus

Haha, I was thinking the same thing.

  • jag

    so… Angelique is her name… hehe! ; P

  • sony_forever

haha,I hope thats the case. She is the one who demonstrates the HDR functionality of the SXZ too.
Will the SXS JB update, get the new white caller screen as well??? Many people here seem to hate the new white theme that the caller screen/messaging app/phone dialer is getting. But i seem to love it. It is actually a good departure from the boring blacks that paint almost all android devices.

  • sony_forever

That was my first reaction too!!

    Pointless video

  • PowerSonic

i was thinking more white pixels lead to more battery consumption…

  • Ziich

    damn angelique i said no

Not on a LCD screen. The backlighting is consisten throughout the entire screen no matter what color the pixels arrange. On OLED however black is less power consumptive than white.

Are you shure about this? I read somewhere that black pixel its a pixel with no power, so on my XS a pixle in white or black its the same? Please make this clear to me because i tired of my black theme, i want more collor on my XS

In LCD screen, each pixel acts as a color filter for the backlight. The black pixel means even though the backlight is illuminating the entire screen with uniform white light, in this particular pixel neither red, green, or blue sub-pixel allows the light to pass.

    Love that Xperia ringtone.
