in Xperia Z and Xperia ZL

Xperia Zl USThe Sony Xperia ZL (C650X) went on pre-order in the United States last week for $759.99 via the Sony Store, but the listing was removed shortly after. This time around, Sony Mobile has officially announced the handset for the US market with the same pricing intact. The LTE version of the Xperia ZL (C6506) will cost $759.99, however it is interesting to note that the HSPA+ version (C6502) will also be available for $719.99.

The handset remains on pre-order with an expected launch date of 8 April. We couldn’t see the HSPA+ version on pre-order just yet, but we expect it will appear soon. Sony has confirmed that the handset will soon be available at other retailers, so you may want to keep an eye on Newegg to see if it arrives any cheaper.

The C6502 supports the following frequencies: HSPA+ 1,2,4,5,8 and EDGE 850/900/1800/1900. The C6506 supports LTE: 2,4,5,17, HSPA+: 1,2,4,5,8 and EDGE 850/900/1800/1900.

well it was about time they made it available. now all we need here in the u.s. is the xperia Z cause it still needs to make some kind of appearance in the sony store.

That’s what happens when you release more than 20 phones in a year, 7 of them being flagships (S, ION, T, TX, V, Z, ZL), let’s hope that Sony doesn’t screw up this year, get rid of all the useless phones ( the sony ericson range and all the 2012 phones, except the V). Having both the Z and ZL will make them struggle when it comes tu updates ( the ZL is going to be left behind since it’s not as advertised and as wide-spread as the Z) and no carrier availability won’t help them sell phones in the US ( A normal consumer goes to a AT&T, TMOBILE or Verizon store and see what they have to sell, they don’t go to the Sony Store to get a phone)

Will Sony ever release phones that will work on Verizon’s network???

  • crazychef
