in Xperia Z Ultra

Xperia Z UltraThe Sony Xperia Z Ultra isn’t going to be cheap, that much is a given when you look at the spec-sheet and size of this beast. If you wanted an idea of how much this handset will cost, then Amazon.de has just put it up for pre-order in all three colours (black, purple and white) for €679 (£575, $884). Premium in every sense of the word then, however it is the price you pay for the world’s thinnest smartphone with full HD display.

  • bobeobi gzigzigzeo

Is that a high price for westerns? Here, in post-soviet countries salary is nothing to compare with west, but phones always much more expensive

  • APai

    …close to $900 ? ouch!

  • Uchiha Dare Nial

Meh gonna wait for the price to drop, and I buy a gaming laptop LOL

    Why should I spend my money almost every year for Android phone/tablet ;_;

  • Diego Neves

If you are finding costly in dollars, I’ll have a heart attack when they start selling in Brazil …

  • TjaldidTjaldid

it says for some reason in the photo that it has a 720P screen

  • ererss

prices in europe usually are just the same figures in the united states. only the currency symbols change.

the xperia z tablet for example is 599 euros but it is also 599 dollars in the US.

  • JEp シ

    almost RM 3000.

don’t know what the price for Sony Honami then.

  • brinkle

Well, I paid 7.49 million IDR for my Xperia Z. No regrets!

  • Aniket Koyande

you can consider Xperia Z Ultra as a compact version of Xperia Tablet Z with hardware upgrade….den it doesnt really matter whether it has LED flash or not

  • Afzal Zainal Rddz

Chill bro… Each region price taq wont be the same cause it will include tax ( different tax in each country ) But in malaysia we dont have to pay tax for smartphone so the price will be more cheaper.

  • oomu

IDR, what counrty is it ?

  • aligamz

Uh…it’s not the slimmest smartphone in the world, you know. Huawei Ascend P6 is.

  • fizh

So it is €30 more than Xperia Z at release date in Amazon.de… €30 is very low premium, as long as it drops as usual :-)

  • Babylonbwoy

Official minimum legal salary in france is 1120€ so yes it’s expensive
the smartphone business is one of those who are doing well despite the crisis. People don’t spend money for health but they do for tech toys.

  • bobeobi gzigzigzeo

U are joking, right, official minimum in Ukraine is 120 euro, average maybe 400 euro, and phones are much more expensive than in France, and still many can afford them

  • JG

Common Sony, put a Led Flash on it so this can be used even at night. And it will generate more customers. Check out the first comments on yesterday’s comments when ZU was introduced fully. Or most of them will just wait for Honami.

  • Ray

Sony says it’s slimmest full hd (1080p) smartphone in the world. Huawei Ascend P6 is only 720p.

  • Purnama

    hahha… ya begitulah… :(

tp katanya mau ada denominasi rupiah?

  • Purnama

    Indonesian Rupiah

I’m not joking I’m just telling you how much is minimum salary here and life is extremely expensive (renting an appartment is minimum half of salary) we can’t only compare salary, not accurate.

  • Babylonbwoy

19.6 % tax here in France.

    If price is same as germany : 679 x 0,804= 545euro >>> 130 Euros in tax approxymately

  • Babylonbwoy

Yes but it’s cheaper in united state, 1€ = 1.304$

  • Afzal Zainal Rddz

In malaysia price release for xperia z around usd660 but now around usd580 with no telco contract. But we do have AP set units around usd490 . I guess xperia ZU price estimated around usd700++ i dont know if it sound expensive or not but for me its still consider a good price taq offer.

  • Alan Jayme

Here in Brazil minimum legal salary is 670 reais, average 300 dollars/200 euro. Here it will come something about 2000 dollars. It’s veeeeery expansive.

  • mimu
