Traditionally Mugen Power would provide a replaceable battery with larger back cover if needed. However, as the Xperia Z has a sealed enclosure this wasn’t possible. Therefore, judging by the picture it looks like the jacket provides power through the dock pins. Whilst the case takes away some of the clean lines of the handset it may be useful for those who do a lot of travelling.
