Bell_Canada_2008Sony Mobile Canada has just announced that the Xperia Z will be exclusively heading to Bell Canada later this month. Up until now only the Xperia ZL (C6606) has been available in the region with the necessary LTE support. However, hot on the heels of the T-Mobile USA Xperia Z announcement, Canadians will officially be getting the handset too.

The Xperia Z will be available later this month, from Bell and Sony stores in three colours (black, white and purple). No information on pricing has been announced at this stage, but if you want to pre-register your interest then click here. See what Sony Mobile and Bell have to say about this news after the break.

“With its amazing durability, Xperia Z raises the bar for superphones and Bell is proud to be the exclusive Canadian carrier of this innovative and much anticipated mobile device. Combined with the largest LTE network and Bell’s Mobile TV, which includes more than 30 news, entertainment and sports channels, Bell and Sony are making the mobile experience even better,” said Adel Bazerghi, Senior Vice President of Products at Bell Mobility.

“With Xperia Z, we are thrilled to bring a breakthrough superphone to Bell in Canada. The Xperia Z brings over half a century of Sony innovation to a superphone for an experience that truly stands out,” said Tim Hernquist, Vice President of Marketing for North America, Sony Mobile Communications.

Very late indeed to be kicking off with the Z when all anticipation is with honami. Having said that, most mainstream users haven’t even heard the term honami never mind anything else.

Wonder who will be so stupid to get the Z when Honami will be released in three months max.

  • Babylonbwoy

because of néo liberalism = different carriers, different netwoks, different band. Sometimes having gouvernement ruling some business is good, here all carriers uses same network/band

Seeing as it’s rumoured to be called the i1, I’m assuming that its going to be the first in a series of phones and then there’s probably going to be an i2 and an i3 and so on and so forth, like the Galaxy S or Note series.
