  • hiho

what colour will be better between black and white?

  • afzal

Current price for xperia ZR in malaysia RM1590.

  • American Standard

Xperia ZR looks ugly and for tasteless person

  • per

if i wanted good looking phone I would buy HTC One and wouldn’t even look at Sony. but ZR has decent processor (same as Z & Nexus 4), removable battery and is waterproof. it’s threat to Z and thats why they don’t want to sell it :/ (same with ZL :/). I have no choice but to buy Nexus.

  • P9

    white looks better, bro.

  • P9

I’ve found white version’s not bad, when we see it actually. :) I still prefer sony’s design though.

  • jake

actually , all of the local shop selling below $469 at malaysia . some even selling for $465

  • Oen

so it would be released by end of this year..

  • josesl16

  • Ray

Tried it the other day, a very good smartphone. I expect Antutu will get 21xx because it’s a 720p display. Local mobilephone shops do sell it cheaper, maybe RM59 cheaper.

Here’s a picture. It’s not at a Sony Store but it’s at a Carrier store called “Celcom”.

  • world standard

Ugly?? so tell me then what is beauty based on ur reference? Have u seen any other manufacture come out with variaty of design on their each smartphone? American standard = leaked of creativity. That for sure.

  • Uchiha Dare Nial

Whew, more cheap than Xperia S,xperia Acro s and Xperia ion launch price in Malaysia which these 3 devices got lower specs…anyway, good job Sony…keep attracting those Samsuck Malaysian user who have become Hantu Samsung aka Samsung’s Ghost

  • spade

Same price like i bought Acro S back then, good price, too bad i’m waiting for Honami now ;)

  • Burraku

Black. Sleek, elegant and more streamlined.

  • Wut

    “leaked of creativity”

    lolwut?

  • :|

HTC One is the most beautiful smartphone at the moment. Xperia Z Ultra is just as beautiful but too big for me.

  • RonRon1020

Just to note that it is not LTE version, looking at the specs from Sony Malaysia. eBay is selling the LTE version for USD510.

I can get it for only RM1488 from some shops. They have all colours too. Mint and White seems nice.

  • LancerEX

My son has had his for three days. It is super fast & smooth. Comparing it to any phones we’ve had a hands on at a store this is easily the quickest most responsive phone we’ve ever used, including the iphone. My son had 64 gig SD from his xperia mini pro that is almost full & it works great. It’s already been dropped (onto a wooden decking fortunately) & it didn’t miss a beat. I thought I was up for buying a new phone within minutes of it being turned on for the first time! He has the white one & it looks great. Not too thick or too thin, well weighted in the hand though it can slip out easily if your not careful holding it. The side mounted power button takes a little getting used to… just be careful when unlocking the screen for the first time.

The sound quality is great too (played through an audioengine n22 amp and polk speakers).

I ordered 2 spare batteries that come with a usb charger (no mains plugs) for $18 au. I currently use the same brand of battery & charger with my xperia mini pro & have done for almost 2 years, they last as long as the sony battery. A $4 plastic casing arrived today, it won’t protect the phone too much but at least there is less chance of the lens being scratched. Just waiting for the screen protectors and NFC tags to arrive (can’t give an accurate description of the quality of the screen/viewing angles yet as the protector that was already on the screen is not 100 percent clear.

The phone was $568 au delivered from ebay and took less than a week to be arrive (to Perth).

So, if the price would be around IDR 5300000, then it would be the same price with V wich has lower specs..?? (in Indonesia). How about V price in malaysia, is it below or on the same price range with ZR?

  • Andrie Putra

In Indonesia when Sony Mobile Indonesia launch Z the price was Rp 7.499.000 ( In News in here US $699 ) ZR Rp 6.499.000 ( newsin here US $ 599 ) So ? Imposible if Quad core as Z will compare with Xperia V or Acro S that dual core ?

  • DeLorean75

I’ve live in Sweden and I’ve had my ZR for a few weeks now. Mine got 21,795 points on Antutu.

  • Anzilleo Kristello Mozihim

As expeceted, scores more than my ZL because of the resolution. How are you finding it so far?

  • DeLorean75

I like it alot. Snappy. Excellent battery time. The power saving options work really well. Camera is good. Hoping for Android 4.2.2, but no rush. 4.1.2 works fine. Love the size (4.55″). The 5″ smartphones are too big for one hand operation imo. Build quality is great. the 720p resolution doesn’t bother me at all.
The only thing that Sony disappointed me with, is the VGA resolution on the front camera.
