in Xperia Z Ultra

XZU_InfibeamThe Sony Xperia Z Ultra (C68XX) is now on sale, with those in India getting the first opportunity to own the handset (or phablet if you prefer). The Xperia Z Ultra is listed as ‘In Stock’ at both Infibeam and Saholic for INR 44,990 (£496, €576, $762). Delivery time is in 5-6 days. The price point appears to be quite competitive for such a cutting edge handset.

We would expect that this is the HSPA+ version of the handset (C6802). The Xperia Z Ultra will also be released in Hong Kong and Taiwan over the next week. We would love to hear some initial impressions once people get hands-on.

…because India is now the 3rd largest economy of the world (sad for Japan). It has already surpassed Japan. Japanese firms are now eyeing India and China as the target markets.

  • Z

How come a third world such as India get it first?so sad..

well sir india is now the 3rd largest economy of the world, surpassing japan.

it may have rapists on its streets but it’s one market that likes sony. why would sony go to the US if nobody is interested to buy its products there? no carriers are that eager to have sony phones.

This is so true. I’m in America and going to best buy and other Sony retailers, Sony gets so much bad rep that sales associates rarely recommend Sony products. Most of US consumers don’t care for Sony and that hurts me so much. People in US are not interested in Sony. Only Samedung and crApple interest only. So good for Sony to not pay attention where its not needed/cared for and pay attention where it is. Sucks for Sony diehards like myself in US though.

  • Billy de Fretes

You don’t need to brag about it. Japan gdp nominal, per capita, and human development is still far higher than India.
