Sony D6603 model number leaks in benchmark

in Rumours, Xperia Z3 series

Sony D6603 AnTuTuA new Sony Xperia model number has leaked, indicating that it may the potential 2014 flagship. The Sony D6603 model has appeared in the AnTuTu benchmark, achieving a score of 32,996 points. The only other high-end model number we have seen so far includes the D6503, which was believed to leaked earlier today.

It could highlight that Sony is adopting a similar strategy last year when it launched two flagships: the Xperia Z (C660X) and Xperia ZL (C650X). The latter was one of the smallest handsets sporting a 5-inch display but was not water resistant and only appeared in select regions. Sony pushed the Xperia Z as its global flagship, but was larger than the ZL and did not include the ZL’s IR blaster. We’ll wait to see what strategy Sony is pushing in 2014, but early indications suggest a similar move.

Sony D6603 AnTuTu

Thanks Abhishek!

I hope the global flagship has a IR blaster this time.

Judging from the distance, the bottom touch buttons has, this might definitely has the larger screen size than 5″and over all(aspect ratio) layout of the screen suggests it might not be larger than 5.5″ !!! 5.2″ maybe

I think someone searched for the mobile number on a z ultra, and that’s why the buttons and the notification bar are small. Also, i noticed the clock was 12.30 PM, which suggests that the phond is in America. And almost all xperia’s have a variant that comes first to docomo in Japan, which leads to 1, just a z ultra aspect, 2 a American variant of a phone that comes straight to the US. (just my thoughts on it)

Yes I’ve been brainwashed into thinking Persia is called Iran these days and that if somebody is not impressed by a benchmark figure they have a right to express that thought without being jumped on by somebody with a political chip on their shoulder, “idiot”.

    Hey guys!!

    6 inch tianchi???

  • Queen’s

    OMG you’re Jiyeon from T-ara!

  • Ben Ling

Xperia T2 Ultra is the “Tianchi”,but it uses a better Snapdragon Quad-Core chipset instead of Media-Tek’s octa-core chipset.

  • Jonfensu

    Tianchi = T2 Ultra

  • :D

No, you’re brain washed in the way to consider Iran as a retarded and terrorist country and close your eyes to the real terrorists and those who had “fool” you.
I understand you as you’re not as intelligent as Persians. I know you wish you had a Persian gene in your body, but sorry, we are unique. LOL. “poor brain washed”.

  • Lunkz

I hope they don’t use the Media-Tek chipset on High End Smartphones.
Because there is no way to unlock a Media-Tek Bootloader.

  • Prateek Bhanushali

Ok My Bad…. I actually thought that it is the screenshot of the particular device which is D6603 :D

I love my Xperia ZL, so I am all in favour of Sony producing a similar ‘B’ flagship for the Z2 in 2014. Take out the waterproofing and give me a smaller footprint & IR blaster anytime.

  • roeshak

Well Sony’s q1 2014 flagships were never going to come with anything other than the 800 cpu. The only device released in q1 that could have that is the S5. I don’t even think htc will do it either. 800 cpu is plenty fine.

What will be the successor of ZR then? I love the size of ZR. It’s the perfect size for me. Hope they will make D550x which has 4.5 screen size with the flagship specs like the ZR.

  • Jiyeon90

    Hello there sexy ?

  • phillip

z1 plus qx10 is good enough for me,unless they release another revolutionary camera phone again, otherwise i will stick to my z1

  • Battal Aljadei

    Xperia Z1 was 25909, i think this’s 808Snnapdragon clocked at 2.5Ghz .

Just reply with regards to what Sony may be pushing for 2014, I am hoping for TV tuner for DVB-T2. Not widespread yet except Japan, and Korea, so should be a good selling point.

    Any demokratic elecrions there soon?

  • Jiyeon90

its either a flagship or an updated version of the ZL, either way looking at the benchmark you can clearly see that its gonna have a snapdragon 800, which is no surprise since the new snapdragon cpu will be available in a couple months.
Also you shouldn’t always trust review websites as they sometimes get it wrong.
here’s my own benchmark on my Z1, no root, no overclock.

  • Jonfensu

The Z1 Compact (D550x) is the successor of ZR (C550x)

  • bryan

I want a ZL with updated chipset, IPS display, and better battery.

  • Humpty

Z2! LOL~ Probably going to end up like Z & Z1… we may get the Z2 and then Z3 within 2014.
