When the Xperia T2 Ultra was initially announced, Sony said that the phone would be available in all European markets. However, at some point later, Sony changed its mind on the matter and decided not to sell the phone in Europe. All retailers that had the phone on pre-order pulled their listings.
However, Sony has appeared to do another u-turn as the Xperia T2 Ultra is available to Europeans as we speak. The handset is in stock via the Official Sony Mobile Store, where it will cost £319.99 in the UK and around €399 in mainland Europe. Interestingly, Germany is the only big European market where it is not on sale. Colour availability differs by market, so for example in some regions only black and white are available (UK, Italy, Spain), whilst in others purple is also available (France, Netherlands, Sweden).
The Xperia T2 Ultra has a 6-inch 720p IPS display, 13MP camera and 1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8928 Quad Core chipset with Adreno 305 graphics. Other specs include 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage (4.8GB usable), 1.1MP front-facing camera and a 3000mAh battery. Are you glad that this handset is now on sale in Europe? Do you plan to buy it, or do you prefer the size of the Xperia T3 instead? Let’s hear your thoughts below.
