Xperia M_15.4.A.1.10Just days after Sony has tagged the Xperia M as a device that will not see any software updates, then along comes a new certification. The PTCRB website shows a new very minor firmware build certified for the Xperia M (C1904, C1905) in the form of 15.4.A.1.10, as well as the Xperia M dual (C2004, C2005) with build number 15.5.A.1.6. We’ll let you know if Sony does decide to release these updates.

Its to troll those SP users. :p

sony wont react for the comments in this blog!

  • Don’t expect too much in this upcoming update. Since it’s a small jump from .9 to .10. All we can expect is a BLE fix. (And maybe even more bug fixes)

  • Eduardo Otero

Sony only told Xperia M, L And SP won’t get their next Android version but never told they won’t have more software. There will be still a couple bug-fixing more

  • shalin

If this kind of bug fixes keep coming I might forgive Sony! For not giving kitkat!

Such a small difference in build numbers usually means a firmware with a baseband that has been tweaked for some specific mobile networks and all the rest being exactly the same, so don’t put your hopes too high.

thanks for this update, although only minor update. but i still hope xperia m can get a kitkat update like other devices, thanks sony!!!

  • wow, great leak thanks! very interesting, too. Sony is definitely making too many flagships, that get old after just six months and have poor software support until Sony forgets about them after just one year.

  • John Zakaria

Well to be honest the 18 moth cycle has ended and we have a very stable kitkat version
Eol for us isn’t very painful as we are left with a working device with good kernel sources for custom roms

  • luqman_98

Blame Qualcomm instead as they have ended support for chipset that are used in Xperia M (Dual).

  • Sonywhy?

Why for the fucking Xperia M?!!!

  • ShinOrochiX

It could be like that ICS firmware for the 2011 Xperia devices that never released.

Well, still waiting for Sony official announcement for Xperia Z series EoL ~
And still hoping it can get official update android L ~
I like Sony UI, so feel kind of weird to change the ROM ~

Where the hell is the new firmware update of the Z1, Z1c and ZU?? It’s already a month since the time it was certified. My ZU has the DOA screen issue, is it the screen or the firmware?

  • Ritwij

Yea man. Plus, Z has the same hardware as Nexus 4 and Nexus 4 will get Android Lion (most probably) so I guess it will be easier for Sony to update Z.

  • Might just be a timezone database update.

  • shri

i didnt get any updates of 15.5.A.1.6 for my xperia m dual.

  • Did anybody updated Xperia M Dual to 15.4.A.1.6? If yes, then is it worth to update?
