T-Mobile Xperia Z3 press pics

in Xperia Z3 series

T-Mobile Xperia Z3_1Sony will shortly launch the Xperia Z3 in the United States on T-Mobile. Press pictures of the device can be seen below, which includes a “T-Mobile” logo on the back of the handset. The T-Mobile version will sport 32GB of internal storage over the international Xperia Z3 (much like the Japanese models). As you can probably tell by the pics below, the T-Mobile Xperia Z3 will only be available in black.

There is a good chance that Sony may announce wider carrier support for the Xperia Z3 later this week. Sony will hold a US press conference on Thursday 9 October, where we may see Verizon also launch the Xperia Z3 under the ‘Xperia Z3v’ name. Fingers crossed we hear some positive news on this front – Sony’s US Xperia fans have suffered long enough with lack of availability in the region.

Why oh why do these carriers feel the need to ruin a perfectly good design by adding their logos? I guess they must have Sony over a barrel now that they know they’re desperate to improve their US presence.

  • Felipe Pimenta

It doesn’t look bad. Just a small logo on the bottom. Different from Verizon, known for their Verizon Button on the Galaxy Note series, or this Verizon Z3 mock up:

  • Bryan Pizzuti

That is an exaggerated mockup based on a caricature of Verizon’s reputation.

That being said, it isn’t exaggerated all THAT much.

  • Bryan Pizzuti

Great, when will T-Mobile let me give them my money for it already?

  • Abdul Ghani

Americans will enjoy sonys best horrible post processing

  • jubei

Take my money as well…………hopefully they’ll launch it in the US on Thursday

  • Felipe Pimenta

I know, but yeah. You’re right haha
The worst problem with Verizon’s logo itself is that it is assimetric. T Mobile’s is a bit better on that.

  • rvjaywaks

I enjoy reading your past comments about camera failure and post processing bla bla bla. I own z1 and I didn’t complaints in anything. The camera still superb. Maybe you should buy a dslr not a smartphone.

  • Raj Singh

The carrier pays for that privilege but it does ruin the aesthetics of the device, for sure. Even though I hardly restart my phone, I dislike the carriers’ welcoming logos… so, so annoying even if it’s a few seconds. I’ve bought phones outright for the last few years so I haven’t had any bloatware and/or carrier branding on my devices, which is a subtle nicety.

  • theskig

    eheheheh :)

  • Ram Mar

i’ve gone that route with my last 5 phones. For 16gb more (over the international versions) and subsidized, i’m willing to deal with carrier branding. Hopefully the welcome logo is just a quiet splash. The physical branding looks to be pretty small and only on the back – not too bad. The bloatware is ALWAYS a bitch.

  • Law Jin Hua

Any different with amd without the logo T mobile?

  • Ram Mar

Yeesh…! Branding only a Nascar fan could love.

  • BruceLeeRoyJenkins

Stupid guy at AT&T copied my Z3 IMEI when I got a na no for my Z3. So I do get 4G on my D6603, but not LTE, hate AT&T.

  • Abdul Ghani

well good luck i think u are a good painter since all z series pictures are paintings BTW this phone using same 20.7 beats z3 lol and its a Chinese brand with better software

My only hope is an official unlocked US version

  • akio

Why not ATT? I HAVE ATT :( i guess i am switching

  • BruceLeeRoyJenkins

Also, upgraded from a Z1 to the Z3, and its amazing. Display is leaps and bounds better, speakers just blow you away. And the overall handling and feel is much much better.

  • ZoubIWah

i just bought it from europe and im already using it on TMO. using the z3c. 475usd.. not that bad.

  • ZoubIWah

is that a verizon phone? they should put a logo or two in there ;)

  • Rene Pedroso

475 USD???? Where did you purchase it from

  • razgard

    Hi Troll !!
    Welcome to xperiablog.

  • Dan Vafidis

this chinese shit doesn’t beat anything

  • Emil Oskarsson

Don’t feed the troll I guess he doesn’t know how to use a mobile camera in darkness, poor guy

  • Xperian

Sony Xperia Z3’s camera still suck, Galaxy Note 4’s camera is much better. I’m so disappointed!

  • LiterofCola

    Old joke is old.

  • LiterofCola

    you’re an idiot.

  • Steven Khoo Skkl

Haha…What did you compare it to??Honestly,I had an XZ that was widely admired by my friends for its close to reality pictures. One day we had a friendly competition to find out the best looking stills. My Z competed against a G2,Note 2 and S4..Everyone of my friends were impressed with the amount of details and colour accuracy as well how large the frame was..G2 pic was terrible with immense amount of light bleed as well as Note 2 .Mind you, same backdrop and object at the same moment..They wondered how the reviews indicated that the Z camera was a let down when it held its own against the Note 3..Which another friend had.

  • jonyah

Hopefully at least an unlocked version will also be available.

  • #truth

Why dont you do yourself a favor and just buy a real camera. Then you will see how much the Galaxy Note 4 “sucks” as a camera.

  • RC

Clove UK was the cheapest I saw for $515

    Idk where he got 476

  • Afzal Zainal Rddz

    I dont think so… :-)

  • chris

Why only black? I want the mint color

  • Timbo1

Tmobile doesn’t like other colors. The only Sony phone Tmobile had 2 color choices in was the Z unfortunately, would have been nice if they carried all the colors.

  • decisivemoment

What I’m excited by — and I usually don’t get excited about new products, certainly not new phones — is that one of the Xperia versions, the only one to support Verizon’s band 13 LTE 700MHz, also supports the band 4 and band 17 in common use by other US LTE carriers, the band 5 that Verizon and AT&T are preparing to convert from PCS to LTE, and the 3, 7 and 20 bands standard in Europe. Even more intriguingly, there’s no CDMA listed on this phone, meaning it could be VZ’s first VoLTE device. If this all turns about to be for real, it means the first truly interoperable device on Android in the US market, in particularly the first one to support both AT&T and Verizon’s primary LTE frequencies. Until now, people who’ve wanted an easily interoperable mobile in the US have had to buy an iPhone 5s, 5c or 6 on Verizon at full price, then use it on whichever of VZ, AT&T and T-Mobile they prefer.

  • decisivemoment

Hilarious. Although, when you think about it, wouldn’t Verizon regard this as quite subtle by their standards? Sort of “classy looking”, in a Donald Trump kind of way . . .

    Cool story bro

Anyone know if the tmo version will allow the BootLoader to be unlocked?

  • HazarJast

ZoublWah is referring to the Z3 Compact (z3c) not the Z3. This is why the price is lower. I ordered mine from Handtec for around $475 (with shipping it was about $500).

  • HazarJast

Have you called support and asked them to activate the same IMEI as an iPhone? That should do the trick.
