It’s still not clear whether Sony will announce new Xperia devices on the day or just before, but we’ll keep you posted either way.

Thanks Diogo!

something great is coming from sony

  • Shaik Farooq

    Xperia Walkman??

  • Shimoda

1 month till I see my next phone @_@

  • kido

Same snapdragon 810 in those phones coming out at ifa?

  • Akand

If the uploaded photos are clues, then Sony is going to announce a SmartWatch, a headphone, an Ultra slim Android TV, an Xperia, a camera, a Walkman audio device and something new about Playstation.

  • Akand

If something new comes out, then Yes, it’s SD810 again. SD810 isn’t that bad at all. Maybe I am going to take some hot taste of SD810 this time. I don’t care what media say.

  • David Wasp

May be sony will introduce a super phone!

  • Svnjay

I’ll buy a Moto X Style if Sony doesn’t impress.

  • Svnjay

Snapdragon 808 is always an option.

  • kido

Would that be like a step down from 810?

  • inspire

Xperiablog, please remove this “marfeel” theme on mobile view. It is so annoying and makes the scrolling so difficult with unwanted und unrefined gestures, not to mention the bad overlays.
Your previous theme for mobile was way better than this. Please revert back!

  • Svnjay

The 810 performs worse than the 801 after prolonged use so while the 808 is not as powerful as the 810, it overheats less and throttles less.

  • Akand

Yes. But I now prefer SD810. Look at OnePlus 2. It’s also coming with SD810 and no one has headache for that rather their crowd is getting bigger and bigger.

  • Svnjay

The 810 in the OnePlus 2 is under clocked to 1.5 in order to combat overheating so it doesn’t perform like an 810. It performs like a 805 and 808 in benchmarks.

  • Snorky112

meh I watched tests and saw that in heavy use Z1 and Z2 heat more than Z3+ with 810.. so dont trust any comment, SD810 is not as bad as people say

  • Svnjay
  • The new SmartBand would be there. I think we can assume that

  • Nawi

    Are you kidding?

    Apr 23, 2015 !!!!

  • Svnjay

The date doesn’t change a thing. It’s the same Snapdragon 810 CPU.

  • Reynaldi Sutrisno
  • Sadman Khan

    This is very annoying :/

  • Sadman Khan

Underclocked to 1.8 GHz. Let’s wait for the Oneplus Two benchmarks. The leaked benchmarks showed an antutu score of 62000+. In that case, the Z3+ and M9 are nowhere. But let’s wait. We will see how the 1+2 performs in a while

  • Iki

So.. the SmartWatch with a screen covering the strap, something like an mdr-2? or 100? They already have an ultra slim android tv… so slimmer? super slim and u shaped? Z5, A7RII or rx1II/rx2 or maybe A7SII, NW-ZX3? and morpheus?

  • Timel

Finally, someone talking sense. If Sony doesn’t come up with the PROMISED Z5, then MOTO X Style is the best phone out there. Let anyone challenge this!

  • Kotatsu

And then the Spectre will have premiere in London on late October. So September is a good time to announce the “Made for Bond” Xperia. Unless it’s turn out to be the super M5.

Btw, the PlayStation thingy is just the “new” special edition PlayStation 20th anniversary accessories announced back in June.

  • Yes.. And all these floating overlay items are annoying, unnecessary and the whole general skin is really bogging down my phone .. I wouldn’t mind if this was app. But this is insane on a mobile browser.

  • nfs2010

62K from a company that cheats on benchmark? Oops, I just ‘leaked’ a Z3+ score.

  • nfs2010

“While for the most part we’ve seen an end to cheating in benchmarks, there are still a few remaining OEMs that seem to insist on continuing this behavior. Unfortunately, it seems that OnePlus is one of these OEMs. ”

  • Nawi

    The date changes many things.

First, we all know its problems. So…..

Second, OnePlus works hard to build an appropriate cooling system

  • nfs2010

The date actually matters in this case. SD810 moved to rev2.1 after that. You could also blame it on HTC’s first fw. On the latest one, they figured out the throttling pretty well beside using SD810 rev 2.1

  • Afzal Zainal Rddz

    M5 official

  • nfs2010

I’m looking forward to Sony M9. It should be here by December.

  • Afzal Zainal Rddz

M4 aqua already left the building lol… M9 might be reveal soon… Hahaha

  • nfs2010

LMAO – Sony has lost its mind. New models every week.

  • Kotatsu

Prefer to browse in desktop/classic version now.
It’s a lot faster than this “marfeel” bs.

  • nfs2010

Interesting – they just released an ultra slim Android TV (x900c) here in the US.

  • nfs2010

Yes, classic version runs like a champ on ZL.

  • iia3ezu

Don’t care for wearables or cheap Mediatek phones.

    Z5 or GTFO.

  • H-R-K

    May be declared Z5 series…..

  • But still has a far more powerful GPU and supports DDR4 RAM. Snapdragon 808 is not a flagship chipset. If anything, they should go with the Snapdragon 620, which is more powerful than 808 and 810.

  • Sadman Khan

Even if they cheat on benchmarks, Oneplus One’s real life performance was amazing too. So Two might be great as well

  • Seems like it won’t be that rushed after all. Hopefully it’s enough time for them to improve the design, the camera, and the CPU. Snapdragon 810 wouldn’t be a problem for me if everything else is good, but if there is a new CPU like Snapdragon 620 or 820 by then, they should switch to it.

  • hmmm

hope it’s not real.I’ll never going to buy a 5.7 inch tablet and use it as a phone!!!fuck sony if they put bigger screen.z3 is just perfect!

  • Amir

Z5 ultra better have dimensions not bigger then c5 ultra or most people including me are not going to buy another z ultra dimensions (tablet with phone capabilities). i am z ultra owner. if i want a new mini tablet i’d buy a mini tablet.

  • Amir

    most likely false display size.

  • Gulliver – Marfeel

    Hey guys,
There was an issue with the way that Marfeel was integrated into the site, but that’s been fixed now. Just wanted to check that you’re not seeing these issues any more?
Marfeel’s not just for advertising revenue, we’re super passionate about giving people the best possible reading experience as well!

  • Sadman Khan

It still kinda lags. And it’s rather slow compared to the previous UI. Especially the discus integration is pretty bad (scrolling is laggy)
