The black color with gold/copper Outer Heaven graphic is very nice!

  • I wish they had included the actual game as well (or an exclusive DLC). That would be a great selling point.

  • shhh

Why can’t they just use the design of their Walkman for their phones?

  • Luis

Please post the ringtones when its released

  • Da Fuq

Isn’t the J1C the Japanese variant of the Z1C? Why are they still selling it?

  • Raj Singh

    Geek out.

  • BruceLeeRoyJenkins

Design would be a welcomed change. I would prefer they out in the audio tech into their phones.

As for the materials, while leather or even faux leather feels great at first, most will cover it in a a case. And those who don’t will be left with a sticky disgusting backing. Just look at anyone who has had a Note 4 for a year that’s wasn’t in a case.

  • Svnjay

    Wasn’t that the Z1f?

Holy shit MGS V <3 Sony <3 ultime combo they should do that for Z5 and I buy it.

  • Great Dude

The main difference is that Z1f comes with a preinstalled sim (locked to a carrier) while the J1C comes unlocked (costumers can put any sim they want).

Unlock phone is a booming market in Japan right now. But being a main supplier of phone for the carriers, Sony obviously does not want to directly compete with them. Using a lower spec device seems to be a good way to entering the market.

The Walkman (even the high end usd1300/gbp950 zx2 and zx1) have medium resolution screen at 852 x 480, do you want that on your phone?

  • imparanoic

You can use Sony xperia phone (flagship) to remote play metal gear solid via ps4 dual shock controller

  • I know. What I meant is that they include a copy of the game like those special edition ps4s.

The J1 Compact is the unlocked version of the A2, and the A2 is a slightly modified version of the Z1 f, featuring a rounded frame like the Z2’s and a unified plastic back instead of the separate glass panel + plastic frame that the Z1 f has, as well as quick charge support.

  • Great Dude

    Thanks for clarification

  • Omar

Actually I made a mistake, the A2’s main frame is rounded like the Z3’s, not the Z2’s.

  • Kadek

Anyone bought the phone already? Could you see the customization version number? I want to download the .ftf and flash them on my z1 compact :D
