A new Sony patent has turned up at the US Trademark and Patent Office, which shows that the company is exploring the possibility of wirelessly enabling power charging between mobile devices. So, this means that if you are running low on juice, you could turn to your friends’ phone for a top-up.
At this stage, this is only something on the drawing board, with no indication of when/if we will ever see this technology become a reality. First of all, we’d like to see Sony incorporate just normally wireless charging on its Xperia devices. That would be good enough for now!
Thanks Andrew and Moisés!
