There has been much fanfare on the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc and Xperia PLAY over the last few days, however everyone seems to have forgotten about the Xperia Neo. The Neo has the potential to be a massive hit for SE considering the specs largely match the Xperia arc, but will be much cheaper. In fact at its price point, there are probably few other phones that can match its overall proposition.
Which is why it’s disappointing to report that the Xperia Neo has been pushed back by at least a few weeks. We were already hearing it from our sources and now SE Sweden has just confirmed it. No revised launch date has been outlined by SE, apart from Q2 (it was due to be released at the end of Q1 according to the official press release). Online retailers have already adjusted their launch dates with Play.com pointing to a 29 April release and Expansys expecting delivery on 20 April.
