The Sony Ericsson Xperia ray has recently gone on sale and a very lovely handset it is too (we’ll post some initial impressions in the next few days). If you are a recent owner and wondering whether you can root your handset, then you may want to check out this thread over at xda-developers.
DooMLoRD from xda has provided a root solution, but you will need to make sure your bootloader is unlocked first. You will then need to flash the boot.img and finally use the SuperOneClick app on your PC to complete the rooting process. All of the step-by-step instructions are there so you hopefully you shouldn’t get stuck.
