Xperia arc S hits the UK [Update]

The 1.4GHz Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S is now shipping in the UK. Vodafone UK is the only UK carrier carrying the handset, ahead of Three UK who still have the phone on pre-order. Vodafone has the phone for free on a two-year plan for £31 per month. Three UK has not announced its pricing details yet, although expects the phone to land at some point during October.

If you want the phone sim-free then we spotted at least one retailer, PurelyGadgets, who claims to have it in stock. Another UK retailer, Clove, says that stock is expected today and hopefully will start shipping orders from Monday. Clove has the handset for a very reasonable £349.99, whilst PurelyGadgets has it for £359.99.

Update: Clove has told us that the Xperia arc S is indeed now in stock and will ship from Monday 3 October.
