Sony Ericsson issued a clarification over the promotion we reported on yesterday with Box. The deal was meant to give Xperia owners 50GB of cloud storage for life if they logged into the Box for Android application. However, we couldn’t get it to work and nor could anybody else judging from the comments.
Don’t fret though as Sony Ericsson says that they jumped the gun on this promotion and that they are still finalising details with Box. They went on to say that they are “working to provide this offer very soon to all Xperia customers so stay tuned.” Looks like a question of when and not if. Just for your information, Box normally charges $19.99 per month for 50GB of cloud storage, so this offer is very generous and exclusive across the Android eco-system. Another great reason to own an Xperia phone.
