reality-remade-finalistsFor those that don’t know, the Xperia Studio has showcased some out-of-the-box experiments including using a flamethrower for flash photography, a remote-controlled boat with GPS and an app to capture the invisible universe. The latest is less of an experiment and more arty focused. Sony Ericsson teamed up with the StreetReverb blog to “create beautiful, disruptive experiences” using the Xperia ray.

A panel selected five photographers (Marcos Bauza, Regina van der Kloet, Paul Russell, David Solomons and Jack Simon) to use the Xperia ray to take interesting photos and compete for a prize fund worth £4,000. You can see a slideshow of the entries from the five photographers below and vote for your favourite here. There’s also another video that’s worth watching, where Peter Dench is followed around London giving some insight on how he shoots pictures on smartphones. See both videos after the break.
