Most of the Sony Ericsson Xperia handsets come armed with a 1500mAh battery capacity (bar the Xperia mini family). This means that battery life is reasonably good for the Xperia smartphones, especially those running smaller screens like the Xperia ray and Xperia neo. GSM Arena has conducted some battery tests for the Xperia neo V to see how it fared against other smartphones including the iPhone 4S, Galaxy Note, HTC Sensation XL and the Nokia N9.
The Xperia neo V did quite well in the talk time tests lasting for 8 hours and 41 minutes, ranking it sixth out of 17 phones. It didn’t do so well in the browsing test, lasting for only 4 hours and 20 minutes (14th out of 17), but most of the Android phones didn’t seem to do well in this test. However, for the SD video playback test it scored 7 hours and 45 minutes (7th out of 17). In terms of every day usage it managed to last for 42 hours, a highly respectable result.
