Whilst we have seen many hands-on reports of the Sony Xperia S, there has been a lack of detail surrounding the new user interface and the changes from the existing 2011 Xperia range. The video below does a great job of highlighting most of these new features and refers to the new UI as ‘UXP NXT’. We would hope that the 2011 Xperia range will also receive this new UI update later in the year too.
The video shows the new lock screen, home screen, FM radio, widgets, music player, gallery. It saves the best till last though, showcasing an overhauled Timescape that looks much more refined and sporting a new UI that reminds us of SPB Shell 3D. We’ve also attached another hands-on video that shows us the new lock screen and widgets in more detail.
