AT&T reported earlier today that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update was rolling out to the Xperia TL (LT30at). The update introduces firmware version 9.1.F.1.120 to the handset. If this brings some sense of déjà-vu, it is because we already posted this story at the beginning of the March.
Initially we assumed it was just AT&T being late to inform its customers, however it seems that Sony/AT&T pulled the earlier update almost straight away. Since then, AT&T customers have been waiting for the update to re-appear on PC Companion and Sony Update Service (SUS). Well the update is finally live and users are successfully reporting moving to 9.1.F.1.120 firmware.
New features include Sony’s Media apps, a new home screen allowing up to seven home screens, improved camera functionality (Superior Auto and HDR), revised app tray organisation and improved power management. AT&T has also included a new app called AT&T DriveMode that can be used to automatically send a customised message once your car is moving above 25mph. Seems like a neat idea and the message can reply to calls, texts and emails.
