Sony today announced availability of the Xperia Tablet Z in both India and Singapore. It appears that only one model (SGP321) will be launched in India, which is the LTE/Wi-Fi version with an RRP of INR 46,990. The cheaper Wi-Fi only models (SGP311/SGP312) will not be on sale in the region. Infibeam and Flipkart is offering the tablet for INR 44,990 with a free case and has it down for a 3 June launch.
Sony also confirmed that both LTE and Wi-Fi versions of the Xperia Tablet Z will be heading to Singapore on 6 June 2013. Pricing details were not disclosed, but the tablet is expected to be available in Sony Stores, Sony Centres and Sony Authorized Retailers.
Lastly, it looks like US orders for the Xperia Tablet Z are now shipping. The Sony Store website has the 16GB Wi-FI SKU in stock for $499.99, however the 32GB model is not shipping until 11 June. Availability appears low from third party sites, Amazon has the tablet shipping within 3 to 4 weeks, Newegg is out of stock and B&H is not expecting availability until 3 June.
