The Sony Xperia Tablet Z received some very positive reviews when it launched earlier this year, not only is it one of the thinnest (6.9mm) and lightest (495g) 10-inch tablets on the market, the water resistant chassis sets it apart from other models.
This has been recognised by the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) in their latest annual awards. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has won “European Tablet of the year 2013-2014”.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Sony has won awards for their mobile devices. In 2011 the Xperia X10 mini was named the European Mobile Phone of the year. In 2012, Sony won a couple of EISA awards for the Xperia arc (European Camera Phone) and Xperia mini (European Green Smart Phone). Last year, the Sony Xperia P picked up the European Green Smart Phone award. Let’s hope the trend continues. The full list of 2013-14 award winners can be found here.
