Sony Mobile India has confirmed that the Mediatek-powered Xperia C will be heading to the region within the next week. The handset is available to pre-order at Flipkart in all three colours (black, purple and white) for INR 20,490 with availability pegged at some point during next week. Infibeam also has the hands available to pre-order in all three colours for the same price of INR 20,490. Infibeam expects stock slightly earlier though on 5 October. Offers include free Sony MDR-ZX100A headphones and 6 months of accidental damage cover.
The Sony Xperia C is the first Xperia device to sport a Mediatek MTK6589 chipset (1.2 GHz quad-core processor and IMG SGX544 graphics), 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, dual SIM, 5-inch qHD display, 2330mAh battery, 8MP Exmor R camera and VGA front-facing camera.
