Earlier today, Sony Japan launched a new update for the Xperia Z1 (SO-01F) which brought a number of new features including STAMINA mode, Small Apps and White Balance adjustment. Further details on the update can be found here.
The White Balance feature has been absent since day one on the Xperia Z1 and many people have longed for this given issues with displays that have a yellow tint or hue. White Balance didn’t make it into the Android 4.3 firmware build, but the feature has been ported from the NTT DoCoMo handset (SO-01F) to the global Xperia Z1 (C69XX). You can install it using recovery and the flashable zip can be downloaded from here.
Update: Sony has confirmed that this setting will be coming all Xperia Z1 devices “in the beginning of next year“.
