Xperia L new firmware certified with build 15.3.A.1.12 – could it be Android 4.3?

We have just seen the Xperia SP’s Android 4.3 firmware build certified through the PTCRB website and now the Xperia L has a new update certified by the PTCRB (C2104, C2105). This comes with build version 15.3.A.1.12, which compares to the previous 15.3.A.0.27 Android 4.2.2 build.

Given that the update has moved from 15.3.A.0.XX to 15.3.A.1.XX it could signify a big update, although we’re not sure if it could be as big as Android 4.3. There is every chance we may see this go live before the end of the year, but even if it doesn’t, we would expect it to arrive within a fortnight at the most. We’ll keep you posted with any further details about what this update may entail.
