The Xperia Z1 Compact has just been released, but we know what people really want to know is when are the real 2014 Xperia flagship details coming. @evleaks is at it again and dispute his confusion over the Xperia Z1s picture and specs, he says that the 2014 flagship codenamed “Sirius” should be announced at MWC in February and will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8974-AB chipset and 5.2-inch display. He also says that the handset will launch with Verizon in the United States, which is good news for the company’s push into that market.
He also says that a Sony Xperia tablet powered by the same MSM8974-AB chipset is coming with the codename “Castor”. Like the Xperia Tablet Z, it will be available in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants. Rumours of another high-end phone codenamed “Canopus” have also been swirling around, this is expected to launch later in the year.
Sony Sirius (2014 flagship) tipped for MWC debut: 5.2-inch display, MSM8974AB SoC, and a home on Verizon in the US.
