We have already seen the Sony SGP412 model number appear back in November 2013, with strong hints that this will be a Wi-Fi version of the elegant Xperia Z Ultra. At the time, given the model number, we speculated that this version would sport internal storage of 32GB, but apart from that it would bear no other changes.
AnTuTu have now posted the benchmark score that this SGP412 model has received (35,073) along with a bunch of specs. They say that this Wi-Fi only version will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8074 chipset, which has no WAN capability. It confirms other specs to be the same including its 6.44-inch 1080p display, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 2GB RAM. The graphic incorrectly lists the storage as 16GB, it will be 32GB given the model number. We still don’t know whether a Wi-Fi only version of the Xperia Z Ultra will see the light of day, but we’re all for this amazing piece of technology to reach more users driven by a lower price.
