Timeshift video is one of Sony’s new camera apps that will be arriving with its new Xperia flagship range. Timeshift video will allow you to record a high frame-rate video, which you can then apply slow motion effects to.
A picture of the this app has been released by iRimas, who leaked the Sony D6503 ‘Sirius’, showing its user interface. It has an arc which we imagine is the timeline and a portion of this (in blue) will be where the slow motion effects apply. This slow-mo section can be adjusted, depending on how long you want it to go on for. We are likely to hear more on this feature at MWC next month.
Other pictures were also released showing the camera user interface, but these show no changes to the Xperia Z1 camera UI. The only difference we noted was the ability to apply HDR at 20.7MP resolution.
