XDA dev DooMLoRD has released the leaked Xperia Z Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM, whose screenshots we saw yesterday. The ROM, with build number 10.5.A.0.227, has been ported from a brown (developer) device to work with retail Xperia Z handsets. As always, you will need an unlocked bootloader and working recovery to install the ROM. It should work on both C6602 and C6603 Xperia Z model numbers.
A word of warning though, DooMLoRD says the build is very laggy, so don’t expect to use the ROM as a daily driver. Obviously, we have to remind everyone that this is pre-release firmware so expect a much smoother final firmware. Also, there is no guarantee that this is the firmware build that will roll out to consumers. If you want to give it a test, click on the source link below.

Thanks DooMLoRD!
