The Sony Xperia T3 is now available to order in Malaysia at an official price point of RM1,399 (£260, €325, $436). The handset is quite keenly priced, especially considering that an imported Xperia Z2 can be bought for RM1,599 and a 64GB OnePlus One for RM1,299 (if you have an invite). It is also significantly more expensive than the Xiaomi Mi 3 at RM769.
The price point is one of the biggest issues that the Xperia T3 faces in our view. Fierce competition means it doesn’t appear to be attractively placed given the alternate options from other handsets. Plus, the older flagships such as the Xperia Z1 are probably a better buy.
