Believe it or not, the Sony Xperia E4g is Sony’s first 64-bit phone. Sony says that the Xperia E4g is armed with the MediaTek MT6732 chipset, which was announced a year ago at MWC. At the time, MediaTek said that the 64-bit LTE SoC would “spur the new super-mid market”. The chipset consists of a 1.5GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor system and Mali-T760 graphics.
Despite sporting a 64-bit processor, the Xperia E4g will be running a 32-bit version of Android. It will be interesting to see what noticeable benefits this chipset will bring over the MT6582 chipset (1.3GHz quad-core) found in the Xperia E4.
