Up until now Sony Mobile has included the EP880 USB charger with its flagship Xperia smartphones. That will change with the Sony Xperia Z5 series, where it will be bundling a new charger called the “USB Charger UCH20”. The UCH20 charger delivers an output of 5 V/1500 mA, same as the EP880.
When Sony first announced the Xperia Z5 series back at IFA 2015, it initially tagged this accessory as a ‘Quick Charger’, but this has not been Qualcomm certified from what we can see. The Sony Quick Charger UCH10, which is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 certified, delivers an output of 5 V/1800 mA. We’re not sure how the UCH20 differs from the EP880, but from the face of it, there doesn’t seem to be a lot that has changed.
