Google has today released Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Nexus devices. The main feature in this new update is the inclusion of around 200 new Unicode 8 emoji. Some Nexus devices are also seeing a new tablet navbar, which moves some of the icons to either side of the screen. The other addition is for the “Do not disturb” mode where the ‘Until next alarm’ option has been reintroduced.
The update is now live in the form of the MMB29M build and is currently rolling out OTA to various Nexus devices. We may see Sony update Xperia devices straight to Android 6.0.1 once it finally releases Marshmallow, although we’re still yet to officially hear when the rollout will commence.
