The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has turned heads wherever it has featured on the MWC 2017 show floor. The handset features a number of ‘world firsts’ including the first smartphone with a 4K HDR display and the first to feature the technology capable of 960fps slow motion video recording. It is also the first phone to be officially announced with the Snapdragon 835 chipset.
The GSMA has taken all of this into consideration when awarding the Xperia XZ Premium with the “Best New Smartphone or Connected Mobile Device at MWC 2017” at the Global Mobile Awards (Glomo Awards). Good stuff Sony, now just price the phone sensibly.
